Leasing is a great way for non horse
owners to get in some extra riding time and improve their skills.
When you lease a horse or pony, the
fee includes a once a week lesson, and two other riding sessions (without
instruction) a week. The fee is paid monthly at a rate of $285. This cost covers all lessons and extra riding sessions from March
1st through June 1st. There are 4 times available for extra riding
sessions and you may ride 2 of those times. The extra riding times
available are as follows:
Mon, Wed, Thurs- 10:30-12:30 or
3:30-5:30
Saturday 12:00-5:00
Sunday 12:00-4:00
You can come anytime during these hours
which should give you plenty of time to tack, ride, cool out, and
put your horse away. Tuesday and Friday lease times may be available with
notice. Please check with an instructor with specific times. There are two rings available and limited
leasing, so you should have plenty of room to ride with other Lessees.
Leasing is subject to
instructor approval. Students must be able to properly tack and untack
their horse without assistance from an instructor. They must also know the
proper way to warm up and cool down their horse or pony. Students under 18
must be accompanied by an adult at all times while they are at the barn.
